
Lincoln, Ellis and their friends Giorgi, Marcano's son, and Danny Burke, whose father is also looking to settle topics with Marcano after a preceding falling out, carry out the heist correctly. Lincoln ends the warfare with the Haitians by killing their leader, and is of the same opinion to help Marcano rob the city's branch of the Federal Reserve during the nearby Mardi Gras celebrations Marcano also proposes that Lincoln take over the Black Mob from Sammy, but he refuses.

While initially planning to depart to California, Lincoln is of the same opinion to live and assist Sammy, who is dealing with troubles from the Haitian Mob and is indebted to mob boss Sal Marcano.

In 1968, Vietnam War veteran Lincoln Clay returns domestic to New Bordeaux and reunites with his surrogate father and Black Mob leader Sammy Robinson, his adoptive brother Ellis, and his priest pal Father James Ballard.
